Overview

Risk management isn’t just for factories and worksites. Any organisation running a workplace, an event, or a student activity needs to identify hazards, assess risks, and put risk controls in place — whether that’s a company operation, a school event, a F&B kitchen or installation at a client’s site. This 1-day course gives your team or group the practical skills to do exactly that, covering the fundamentals in full within a single day.

This is an open public class — anyone can sign up, individually or as a group. It is developed for people who want to grasp the crux of Risk Management without committing to the full 2-day bizSAFE Level 2 programme, due to time constraints, cost, or simply not needing the certification. You get the same core practical knowledge, condensed and focused, in a single day. This course is not tied to SSG funding or bizSAFE certification. For inhouse class, we can tailor it to your context — including running the entire course, materials and notes in Chinese. It’s a genuinely flexible option for a wide range of groups:

• RM/RA Leaders who completed bizSAFE Level 2 a long time ago and need a full refresher of the fundamentals, not just an update
• RM/RA Leaders who need a refresher on updating their forms to better prepare for an upcoming bizSAFE Level 3 Risk Management Audit
• Foreign staff, work permit holders, for whom bizSAFE Level 2’s SSG funding doesn’t apply
• Operational teams, such as F&B staff (chefs, servers, kitchen crew) are more comfortable learning in Chinese (in-house) than English
• Institutions needing to train a large cohort across multiple days or sessions, on their own schedule

If your primary need is bizSAFE certification or a regulation-specific update, use this to pick the right one — otherwise, if you’re training a group for events, activities, or general RM knowledge without needing certification, this 1-day course is built for that flexibility.

• Risk Management Framework — Overview of Risk Management principles and why they apply to any workplace, event, or organised activity
• Risk Management Team and Process — Formation of the Risk Management (RM) team and Risk Assessment (RA) teams; overview of the risk management process and flowchart
• Hazard Identification — Identifying hazards arising from equipment, materials, activities, and the environment — tailored to your context (e.g. assessing risks for an orientation camp obstacle activity or a CCA open house booth)
• Risk Evaluation — Risk matrix, risk evaluation criteria, and prioritisation of risks
• Risk Control Methodology — Application of the hierarchy of controls and residual risk considerations
• Safe Work / Safe Activity Procedures — Developing safe procedures based on assessed risks, whether for operations or organised events
• Risk Communication and Record-Keeping — Communicating identified risks and controls; maintaining proper RA/RM documentation
• Practical Application — Applying the Risk Assessment process to real scenarios drawn from participants’ own workplace, event, or activity context, with workshops throughout

We can conduct the full course — including slides and notes — in Chinese (中文), not just English. This has proven especially useful for F&B teams and other operational staff who read and write primarily in Chinese, ensuring the training is genuinely understood and applied rather than just attended.

Withdrawal / Refund Policy / Appeal Policy

No withdrawal or refund of course fee is allowed. All deferments/transfers/replacements/withdrawals are considered on a case-by-case basis and subject for approval. An administrative fee of $50 before prevailing GST will be imposed for all approved refunds/deferments/transfers/replacements/withdrawals.

For deferment/transfer/withdrawal of courses, a written notice must be submitted and received by Bond International Consultants Pte Ltd two weeks before course commencement.

For replacement of participant, a written notice, together with the full particulars of the new participant, must be submitted and received by Bond International Consultants Pte Ltd two weeks before the course commences.
